Welcome to the official website of the Association of Wholesale Readymade Garments Dealers, Ashok Bazaar – the proud voice of one of Asia’s largest and most vibrant garment markets, Gandhi Nagar.
For decades, our marketplace has been the backbone of India’s readymade garment industry, connecting manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers from across the country and beyond. Our association stands united in purpose – to support our members, advocate for their interests, promote ethical and efficient trade practices, and drive the continuous growth of our industry.
As President, I am honored to lead an association that represents not just businesses, but generations of dedication, entrepreneurship, and resilience. Late Shri K. K. Balli was a highly respected person and the long-serving President of the Association of Wholesale Readymade Garment Dealers, Ashok Bazaar Gandhi Nagar, Delhi who held the post from 1987 to 2024. A law graduate (LLB) by qualification, he dedicated his life to the progress and welfare of the garment trading/manufacturing community. Under his leadership, Ashok Bazaar Gandhi Nagar flourished, witnessing significant improvements in its structure, organization, and business environment. Shri K K Balli was a thoughtful and pragmatic individual who, along with his team, tirelessly worked toward finding practical solutions—most notably in preventing market sealing issues in Gandhi Nagar. His strong political acumen and collaborative relationships with councillors, MLAs, and MPs enabled effective resolution of various market concerns. In 2001, he played a pivotal role in opposing the excise duty on garments, safeguarding the interests of small traders. Known for his deep expertise in GST-related matters, he regularly guided enterprises through circulars, clarifying complex legal and tax-related issues with remarkable patience and precision. Throughout his tenure, he remained a pillar of strength and support for the enterprises, addressing everything from security challenges to compliance issues with unwavering commitment.
We pay our heartfelt homage to Late Shri K. K. Balli, a visionary leader, a dedicated advocate, and a selfless mentor whose tireless efforts shaped the success and integrity of the Ashok Bazaar Gandhi Nagar Market. His legacy of service, wisdom, and leadership will forever inspire generations to come.
